Segment graphite bushings, also known as segmented carbon graphite
bushings, are a specific type of graphite bushing design commonly
used in pump applications. These bushings are designed with
segmented or split construction, where the bushing is divided into
multiple sections or segments.
The purpose of segmenting the bushing is to allow for flexibility
and ease of installation. The segments can be compressed or
expanded during installation, allowing them to fit into the pump
housing or other components with a tight tolerance. Once installed,
the segments come together to form a complete bushing that provides
the necessary support and lubrication.
