1. Application
This precision multi-chamber aluminum housing is a core fluid
connector customized for new energy vehicle thermal management systems, automotive engine coolant pipelines and industrial hydraulic valve blocks. With an integrated multi-chamber structure, it undertakes the
functions of shunting, reversing and transitional connection of
coolant/hydraulic oil. It perfectly adapts to the harsh working
conditions of high temperature, high pressure and high vibration in
automobiles. It is widely used in core fields such as new energy
vehicle battery thermal management, engine cooling systems and
hydraulic control units, providing accurate and sealed reliable
channel structure for fluid systems.
2. Material & Performance
Core Material: 6061-T6 Aluminum Alloy (premium material for automotive thermal
management components, adapting to the thermal conductivity and
pressure resistance requirements of this part)
Key Performance:
- Tensile strength ≥310MPa, yield strength ≥276MPa, with excellent
pressure resistance and creep resistance, can withstand long-term
fluid pressure ≥1.5MPa
- Density is only 2.7g/cm³, significantly reducing vehicle weight and
improving fuel economy or battery life under the premise of
ensuring structural strength
- High thermal conductivity, assisting internal fluid heat
dissipation, adapting to the high-temperature environment of the
car engine compartment, fully complying with RoHS and REACH
environmental protection standards
- Natural corrosion resistance, resistant to coolant and oil
corrosion, adapting to complex and changeable automotive outdoor
environments
3. Processing Method
This part adopts 5-axis linkage CNC turn-mill composite machining process, integrally cutting and forming from a solid aluminum bar,
ensuring the smoothness and sealing of the multi-chamber flow
channel.
- Core processes: precision turning of multi-layer sealing spigots,
integrated forming of lateral water nozzles, precision boring of
mounting holes, precision milling of internal flow channels
- Auxiliary processes: high-gloss contour chamfering, deburring,
surface fine sandblasting treatment, ensuring no burrs or nodules
on the inner wall of the flow channel
- Full CNC programming, one-time clamping to complete multi-sided
machining, ensuring the consistency of flow channel coaxiality and
sealing surface high precision
4. Machining Accuracy & Usage Requirements
Machining Accuracy:
- Dimensional tolerance: ±0.01mm, strictly matching the sealing ring
and pipeline clearance
- Geometric tolerance: flow channel coaxiality ≤0.015mm, flange
surface flatness ≤0.02mm
- Surface roughness: Ra≤1.6μm (inner wall of flow channel Ra≤0.8μm),
ensuring fluid flow, reducing resistance and cavitation
- Usage Requirements:
- Adapt to an extreme working environment of -40℃~120℃, can withstand
continuous fluid pressure ≥1.5MPa
- No leakage or corrosion during long-term use, ensuring stable
circulation of coolant/hydraulic oil
- The mounting surface must be kept clean and flat to ensure the
fitting degree and sealing performance of the sealing ring
5. Heat Treatment
With heat treatment, adopting solution treatment + artificial aging (T6 state) process.
- Core purpose: eliminate processing internal stress, greatly improve
material hardness and structural strength, enhance creep and
fatigue resistance, avoid deformation under long-term high
pressure/high temperature conditions, and ensure the long-term
sealing stability and structural reliability of fluid connection.
6. Post-treatment
Natural color sandblasting treatment, retaining the original metallic texture of aluminum alloy.
- Process advantages: form a dense and uniform surface protective
layer, significantly improve corrosion resistance and stone impact
resistance, matte texture improves appearance texture, and it is
convenient for subsequent painting or electroplating (if required),
fully meeting environmental protection requirements.
7. Quality Control
Implement a full-process closed-loop quality control system,
strictly complying with ISO9001 quality standards and automotive
parts TS16949 specifications:
- Raw material incoming: spectral material inspection to ensure
6061-T6 alloy composition and mechanical performance meet standards
- Processing process: 100% geometric tolerance inspection, focusing
on monitoring flow channel coaxiality and sealing surface accuracy
- Final product inspection: appearance defect inspection, air
tightness/water tightness pressure test, full dimensional
inspection, traceable inspection report for each batch
- Pre-delivery: cleanliness inspection of the inner cavity to ensure
no iron chips and impurities, avoiding flow channel blockage
